Which Provider should I ask for?

Our providers work together and share medical information when necessary for the comprehensive treatment of patients. Even though they both provide an alternative path of healing to traditional medical practices, the below is offered as a quick guide to help you focus your first visit. If you have a particular need and are not sure who to book an appointment with, please contact our office staffer assistance.

We treat patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, including pregnant patients ( although our doctors do not deliver babies).

Our doctors will provide you with an evaluation and recommend which modality you should pursue: Western, Alternative or a combination of both.

Dr. Zdravkov:

Provides Traditional Chinese Medicine Consultations & Acupuncture treatments.

Dr. Vizinas:

Practices  Osteopathic Primary care, Integrative Medicine (with emphasis on Traditional Chinese Medicine (herbals, acupuncture, and Gua Sha), Nutrition, Aromatherapy, and Homeopathy) and Functional Medicine.

Western Primary Care Visits Include:

An annual exam
Update of past medical, social, work and family history
Complete physical exam and review of body systems
Review of medications, herbs and supplements (bring list)
Need for medication refills
Counseling/anticipatory guidance/risk factor reduction interventions
Review of age/gender appropriate screening tests
The exam is prevention focused, not problem focused.

Annual Exams DO NOT include:
Discussion or treatment of new health concerns/issues.
Labs/diagnostic testing related to new issues.

Urgent/Acute/Same Day Appointment: This type of appointment is for a new symptom or a recent change in your health that you feel needs to be evaluated as soon as possible (for example: if you started to have a new belly pain or  pain while urinating)

This type of appointment is for monitoring any specific medical condition (1-2 max) or problem you may have. An example of a follow-up appointment would be if your doctor started you on a new medicine for high blood pressure and asked you to return in X weeks to check to see if your blood pressure improved.

Integrative Medical Care Visits Include:

Initial Consultation: a 45 min consultation and evaluation) for one or several problems using traditional Chinese medicine techniques. If you have more than three issues, please contact our office to make sure we provide extra time for your visit to address as many issues as possible.

Follow-up consultation: 20-30 minute visit to check progress on current conditions or address new complaints (1-3 max/visits). Depending on the case, the doctor will present treatment plans specifically for you.
